max_clawfinger
Hello everyone! I have a strange problem on Kalyway 10.5.4 on my Asus F3Sv (installed Kalyway 10.5.2 -> 10.5.3 combo update -> 10.5.4 via apple update). When I set the screensaver to turn on after 3 minutes or any other time, it doesn't ever run. Display sleep works but not the screensaver. Have someone ever had the same problem? Macshiba
I used to have a screensaver, but now I don't. I have it set for anything and it never comes on. EnVmyZ
Are you sure your video card still has CI/QE enabled after the 10.5.3 update? Apple ---> About this Mac --> More Info --> Graphics Results? max_clawfinger
Yes, i installed drivers from nvinstaller v.52 (vanilla) after 10.5.4 update and enabled CI/QE in osx86 tools. I can run the screensaver manually and from a hot corner but still no run on system idle. In "More info" - ROM revision nvinject 0.2.1 all features are supported. P.S. BTW display sleep/wake works on idle. qubozik
Ahh! I am having this same problem and it is driving me crazy. I bought a new monitor and shut down my hackintosh and plugged the new one in, but it was at a low res. So. I removed the nvidia drivers (nvinject) and tried to reinstall. I realized somethings changed to get those installed. But anyway, I used nvkush and got them installed finally. I am now having this same problem. More info in "About This Mac" crashes and I have the same problems as Max. This problem not only prevents screen saver from starting on it's own (starts fine manually), but I also can't lock my screen. I can start the screensaver as Max described, but I no longer get a prompt to type in my password when leaving the screensaver. I also tried using the keychain manager toolbar way of locking the screen and that does not work either. It just starts the screensaver but still does not prompt for a password. I'm going to keep digging. If I find anything I will report back. Riley Freeman
Have you tried using EFI Studio to enable your card? Worked a treat on my 8800GT and it seems to be a cleaner way to get cards running with the native drivers without having to use enablers.
