maroder
This is my first post here and I just wanted to say hello to all and thank you for this great forum. I've managed to install IATKOS v4 without greater problems with the 9.4.0-kernel and got my ALC889-audiochip working with the AppleHDA.kext and the HDAEnabler.kext from http://wiki.taruga.net/. Is the HDAEnabler.kext even required if you already installed the correct AppleHDA.kext? I even managed to get full QE-Supprot for my Gefroce 9800GTX with a customized EFI-String. My Sytem: iATKOS v4 - Leopard 10.5.4 Kernel 9.4.0 Gigabyte P35-DS4 (Rev. 2) 4 GB Corsair DDR 2 x WD Raptor 74GB 1 x SATA DVD LG 9800GTX 512 MB 1) Reboot So now I've only a few more problems to solve: I cannot restart my system and shutdown seems only to work randomly after installing the Shutdown_Fix package. Everything seems to shutdown correctly (HD/GFX/USB), but the pc keeps hanging on the black screen. I don't really want to screw up my installation with experimenting with the kext-files, but this problem ist really anoying (especially restart). Has anyone found a solution to it? I search this forum, but couldn't find any solution for this. The weird thing is, that sleep works wonderfull - full support sound and LAN. Only shutdown and restart don't seem to work. 2) Sound "klicking" The other problem ist, that I get "klicking-noises" from my soundcard/speakers. It seems, the soundcard goes into standby after a while and everytime it is used, it seems to get activated with a klicking sound. After the "klick" it works wonderfull until its not used for a while... then it seems to go back into standby. Any help is really appreciated. Thank you in advance!
