Hey all,

I've got this issue here.. when you click the right-mouse button, you get the context menu.. I believe it's called that.. then you see few options.. when you hover.. the next options will be revealed..

so here's the problem, today.. the moment when you see the next options, it's gotten much faster.. so the sec I hover over something I see the other menu.. with is fine on the desktop, but when I browse through bookmarks folder in firefox.. and believe me I got quite few.. it's very irritating because it opens them all while you hover.. normally you need to keep the cursor on that point bit longer.. to open it.. but now it opens in instant..

so my question, how could I fix that.. registry perhaps..? everything worked fine.. until I installed rocketdock yesterday.. but I cant imagine it doing something like this..

sorry for my english.. :wacko:

ps, running Vista Ultimate 64

Thx!

Items shown after a delay in menus are controlled in the registry by HKCU/Control Panel/Desktop/MenuShowDelay

The 'normal' value for this is 5000 or a half-second delay. You can change it to whatever you like and the context menu fly-out pops up faster or slower accordingly.

Here's the reg file content for my preferred speed (i.e. nearly instant):

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"MenuShowDelay"="100"

Of course this might not be the source of your trouble, but it's worth checking.

Thank you for your help, but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. :)

When I opened the registry MenuShowDelay, the settings were '140' for some reason, so I changed it to normal value of 5000.. rebooted.. and still the same.. noticed difference in the start menu though..
