Alpha Dog Unleashed
Hello all, First of all I would like to say this is a great website. Im truly awed by the wealth of knowledge thats displayed here. It seems Im having an issue with the Kalyway 10.5.2 install. I will state my hardware configuration and the problem afterwards. Specs: Abit FP-IN9 Fatality Motherboard Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 2.93 GHZ cpu 4GB OCZ Special Ops Edition PC 6400 RAM WD 320GB SATA Harddrive (Currently running Vista Ultimate 32bit) WD 80GB SATA Harddrive <~~~~~The Drive Im attempting to install osx on LG DVD Burner IDE interface ATI X1650 PCI-E Graphics Card Here is the issue Im having. After the initial install of Kalyway in which I tried selecting and deselecting drivers in the customization section of the dvd, all it would do is continuously cycle thru the reboot process after the Darwin boot selection screen. I then tried reinstalling straight from the Kalyway DVD with not selecting any customization and I was able to get to the setup portion and it claims that it cannot ID my keyboard. I go thru the instructions it gives to help it ID the keyboard and proceed to the section where you would transfer info from a previous mac. I choose the dont transfer option and after about 10-15 sections it goes back to the cannot ID my keyboard screen. I have used the following keyboards Merc Stealth Gaming Keyboard (USB) Belkin (USB) and finally a Microsoft (USB) that says on the box that its compatable with both PC and Mac. I even tried an old Compaq PS2 keyboard and all that did was cause it hang at the apple screen. I will add that I do get good audio and video, and that I was successful in getting the VMware version of leopard to technically work but its not the solution Im looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119317-kalyway-install-problem-with-abit-board/ Share on other sites
