zillac
What I have: Lenovo T60p; 2613-CTO cpu: Intel® Core™2 CPU T7200 @ 2,00 GHz memory: 2 GB @ 667 MHz VGA: FireGl V5250 w/ 256MB; device id: 71d4 vendor id:1002 screen: native resolution 1600x1200 at 60hz. Software: Fresh install of iAtkos v4i with stock file, sata driver, remove themal kext. Lid problem: Closing the lid, it goes black. Reopening it, it becomes totally unuseable. It only shows color blocks and lines on the screen. Looks like it's coming back in a unsupported resolution and refresh rate. Screen sleeps and wakes with no problem. Only the lid close/reopen is not working. What I did: 1. Replaced DE71 with D471 in binary, and 71DE1002 with 71D41002 in plist, in ATIRadeonX1000.kext. Got QE/CI here, no lid problem, no resolution change, and has mouse tearing. 2a. Inserted graphics mode (1600x1200x32) into Boot.plist Got native resolution inserted, still no lid problem, no resolution change, and has mouse tearing. 2b. Use GFXString/ATIinject (same result). String/Plist used from http://17th.name/2008/07/28/ati-firegl-v5250-for-leopard/ Got resolution change, fresh rate change, no more mouse tearing, but screen crashes on lid open. 2a+2b. Got resolution change, fresh rate change, no more mouse tearing, Screen seems to come back in correct resolution, but still wrong refresh rate, so totally unuseable. Things I have tried but didn't worked: - pmset lidwake 0 - insomnia.kext (laptop doesn't sleep when lid close even before) - "@60" in Boot.plist doesn't seems to be supported, I got infinite restarts on startup. TombstoneX
I had a very similar problem, not sure if this will work for you but here it is. If you enable Hot Corners to Sleep Display and when you experience the issue of the display not turning back on, all you have do is move the trackpad pointer (even though you cant see the mouse moving) to the Hot Corner and then back off of it and the display will wake. To Enable Hot Corners: Apple Icon >> System Preferences >> Desktop & Screen Saver >> Hot Corners... (Button) >> Change any of the corners or all of the corners to "Sleep Display" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119194-screen-crash-on-lid-open/#findComment-1111566 Share on other sites
