TheQuantumByte
Hi all, I just purchased a D-Link DWA-110 USB wireless dongle and installed the driver from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=116856 The DWA-110 prefpane recognises the dongle and allows me to connect to my WEP network with no problems.. it shows connected at 95%+ However, safari/firefox just won't load any pages, saying that I'm not connected to the internet.. Can anyone help me please? I realise the URL posted above notes that the guy has 10.5.2. However, I always have had issues with these combo updates (getting the blank blue screen on boot b/c of Intel GMA950). So is there anyway I can solve this without having to update the OS? Any help is truly appreciated. Isaac. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119089-d-link-dwa-110-for-1051/ Share on other sites

potenuse
Hi Isaac, Just bought one myself and wrestled a little with just this. You have to set up a second (phantom) ethernet connection in the Network panel of System Preferences which works as a sort of bridge to the D-Link WIFI Appli. Well setup is probably a bit strong, you just have to add this adapter and leave everything as is (DHCP). Hope this helps, Cheers, Nick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119089-d-link-dwa-110-for-1051/#findComment-955051 Share on other sites
