E-Chris
Not sure what's going on here. I'll install the audio drivers (via a ALC883 package that loads ALCinject and modifies the AppleHDA), the sound will work great, but once I've shut down, or rebooted, I know longer have sound and my output is not listed in system preferences. To get it to work again, I have to delete the ALCinject and AppleHDA kext (and sometimes reboot), and then reinstall the package again. I've got a Kona 2 card installed and the audio outputs (which I can't use) always remain listed, not sure if the Kona driver is doing something to over-write the AppleHDA/ALCinject. Anybody have any advice, or experienced the same thing? I'd love to get the sound to stay working despite rebooting. I'm not even sure where to look anymore. (Strangely I've got a test drive with the same configuration and it doesn't suffer these issues. I've tried to copy it's AppleHDA and ALCinject files but still get the same issue) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/119026-audio-stops-working-on-reboot/ Share on other sites
