Hi,

I ordered the MSI EFINITY Mobo and received it right away a few days later ...... shoppingmalljapan made it possible. (YES ..... it IS the EFINITY and not the normal P35 .... I ordered it in Japan)

OK .... it has the EFI ...... beautiful interface, Mouse controllable. You may also use the EFI shell, which is some kind of a command-line interface.

OOB it does not boot from the Leopard DVD ...... the EFI has no drivers for HFS, and the EFI shell does not let you boot the right place on the DVD.

The EFI is supposed to be expandable, so it should be possible to add necessary drivers etc. I have not yet figured out how to do that.

It has a BIOS compatibility mode ...... installing Kalyway was no problem. Of course, you then have an awkward installation: PC EFI emulation on top of EFI :-)

So, nice Mobo and it works great under OS-X ..... but the EFI needs tailoring.

Any ideas what I can do?

you can start by getting hfsplus.efi and boot.efi

Hi,

I already figured out that much ........ the problem is how to get things into the EFI. ( If a genuine Mac needed Filesystem.efi and bootXYZ.efi, how would you incorporate that into the existing EFI ) I'm still reading the available Docu .....

Put it on a fat32 drive, or make a new firmware volume.
