installation error (10.4.9)

when the installation is loading, it stops after the line: "FireWire (OHCI) ....."

then after a few minutues, it printed: "still waiting for root device"

 

any ideas?

 

installing uphuck 10.4.9 1.4i r3 on

 

Compaq Presario X1000:

Intel Pentium M 1.3GHz

256MB DDR RAM

40 GB

ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 32MB

Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B

SoundMAX

.....

 

also, since I haven't burned the iso image, im booting it using grub4dos. (maybe this causes the error?)
