nabeelmoeen
Hi, Please excuse any assumptions I might have made below, I'm a noob at this. I was trying to install from Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD on a Dell 630 laptop (I went through the thread for Latitude 630 & 830 but apparently no one experienced the issue there) which has an integrated Intel VGA chipset (no NVIDIA or GMAX300 that was mentioned in the other thread). The problem is my installation freezes right at the start (when it switches to the graphics based text scree) with the following message Extension "com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlaftformPlugin" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. Any suggestions on how to work around this issue? Btw, I installed using the same DVD on my HP NC 6400, and it installed without a hitch (there was the endless registeration loop but I found the solution on these forums) - ufortunately, its not picking up the right video driver and both Wifi and ethernet are not working Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/118426-kalyway-1052-install-freezes-on-dell-latitude-630/ Share on other sites
