pythonusr
I'm on a Toshiba M115 notebook. After the jump from 10.5.2, and forgetting to delete Extensions.mkext and AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, my system was stuck in a "You need to restart your system" loop, which was fixed by using my install DVD's terminal and deleting them. Now, whenever I boot up, I get to the desktop, but my keyboard and mouse are not functional. I've been told a few different things. Such as using Installer.app to install ps2nub (a package that I can't find on my install DVD). And also to use ACPIPS2Nub.kext and ApplePS2Controller.kext and check for dependency errors (such as the one that ACPIPS2Nub.kext gives me), but I can't run kextstat in order to fix the problem (by editing the plist). Namely because kextstat isn't included on my DVD, and I can't even boot into single-user mode. Or safe boot. Forcing kext reloads as well as verbose mode gives off no errors except a dumbpanic that I didn't quite read fast enough. Can anyone help? EDIT: I'm just going to reinstall Leopard to fix all of this. ganzhimself
Have you tried using an external Keyboard and Mouse? I've seen that using them instead of your laptop's input devices will allow you to get that functionality back... Or are you not even able to boot into OSX? You might need to get the files you listed on a flash drive and try to copy them in the terminal in the installer...
