unknowndomain Posted March 12, 2006 Share Posted March 12, 2006 I've just managed to get OS X working on my pentium 4 (northwood) system using the Phenix DVD Image and I have installed several thigns cs2, studio mx 2004, and such however adium x refuses to work it jumps once and stops, also since i updated itunes to version 6.0.4 it now wont load either, its almost like its not designed to work with 10.4.1 however im a quite new mac user and a very new OSx86 user, any help would be appreciated. jbjonas Posted March 12, 2006 Share Posted March 12, 2006 Yes, this is exactly it! Most all UniBin applications for OS X are only running properly on 10.4.3 and above. I suggest you upgrade. The reason things like CS2 and Microsoft Office (don't know about studio mx) run fine, is because these apps are still PPC architecture only, and run with help from Rosetta. Check out 10.4.3 8F1111A or 10.4.4 if you feel up to the extra work to install.
