Could OS X be trying to connect to register your details online, or perhaps update the time? This was happening to me but at different stages of the "welcome" setup, so I just pulled out the network cable and all steps were instant.

Also there is a command you can type at boot to bypass this process, something along the lines of "welcomesetup=1" or something similar. (I'll try and locate it. It's in a few other threads).

Thanks for the feed back m8. Ive tried everthing from disconnecting the network cable..disabling it in BIOS but everytime i reinstall it same thing happens the mouse and keys get stuck and the circle starts spinin endlessly.

the setup skip par sounds good.Im trying to find my self other things that cud be possible.

keep on trying is what im doing :hysterical:.
