First of all, I'd like to say hello, and I'm greatly appreciative in advance of any support you guys may give me. So *huggles*+cookie to you reading this =]

Anyway, since I've got to use Logic Studio for my music tech course, and I'm not shelling out for a mac, I thought I'd 'hackintosh it'.

So I borrowed my friend's SATA DVD drive (all mine are IDE), setup went smoothly, seems to 'work'. Just a few things I need help with...

Okay, so I forgot to print of the instructions that tell you how to boot back into Windows (lol), so I shoved in my Vista disc and restored the MBR. So now I'm back in Windows. Just curious as to how to get OSX dual booting with Windows, I would much appreciate some clear instructions...

That's my first little issue... Secondly OSX doesn't want to boot unless the DVD is in the drive that I installed it with (and with it being my friends drive and all...).

And lastly, this one might be out of your scope. I have an X800XL graphics card, and OS X doesn't want to run in anything other than 1024x768...

^^

All your issues are pretty standard. Use pcwiz's search engine and you'll find all the answers you need, it's here.

For the dual booting, look up chain0. Changing your boot.plist will give you a different resolution (you'll find how).

Have fun.
