ScoobyDooo
Just wanted to share that I managed to install the iATKOS 4.0i 10.5.4 on a Dell D620 the install takes a little longer to start than kalyway 10.5.1 did but it installed fine. I was told on another forum to keep moving mouse 2-3 mins so it don't freeze which i did. If your installing on this dell and it looks like it has stopped at the A in installing keep waiting and moving the mouse to make sure it don't freeze. It should take off and install just fine I only used the top 2 in customize and used the applehda with sigmatel9200.txt to get sound and updated required apps. I haven't tried everything like connecting usb stuff to it but will i want to see if my G2 iphone will connect to itunes. But just thought I would share my success with anyone who has a Dell D620 that it will work. lenny
Great news! BTW, which wireless do you have? The Intel one or the broadcom one? Does it work out of box? Did you disable multi core in the BIOS, or used "cpus=1"? Cheers. ScoobyDooo
Ok here goes my bios revision is A08 and I did have to disable 1 core to get Mac osx86 to load won't boot with both cores enabled. That is all i changed. for my wireless I have in this Dell is Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit controller and Dell wireless 1490 Dual Band WLan Mini-card. I'm not sure which the Mac osx86 uses but I do have wireless I have not tried plugging in with ethernet cable nor have I tried any of the usb ports to see if they are working going to do that very soon. Now for the install I just put dvd in and loaded from DVD and erased my hard drive I had partitioned for the install labled AF once done I picked the hard drive and then went to custom and looked at everything and I didn't pick anything extra. I left what was already checked, checked. I let the disc check run threw to make sure there was no errors and let the install begin I keep moving mouse every 2 -3 mins to keep it from freezing which I was told to do from another site. The install took about a hour maybe or less but when the install begins and the progress bar moves when its at the word installing at the letter A of installing it looks like it stalled out but its still working just keep moving mouse and it should start to move again after about 5 to 10 mins and just keep moving mouse every 2-3 mins and the install should be succesful. Once installed I did use AppleHDA to get sound with Sigmatel9200.txt file. Here's a pic of the custome menu. Like i said I didn't pick any extras just the 2 already checked.
