magnat2 Posted July 28, 2008 Share Posted July 28, 2008 Hi, i have an working Broadcom 4311 mini PCI-e, and it`s recognized as a "Third party airport" and i read that the card could be fixed to report as an real airport card, not as third party airport, does anyone know how to do that? The sticky topic about the bcm43xx has a post by him that points to the other thread where he discusses it and provides a couple of solutions. You basically re-flash the firmware on the bcm43xx device and from then on OSX thinks it's a genuine apple part. The 4306 and 4318 are known to work. I think the 4311 also but you're going to have to do all that reading yourself to make sure.
