I've built a couple of windows machines before, but this will be my first hackintosh. After reading lifehacker's article, crusing the wiki and this forum, I've come up with a part list. My goal is to have a competent home desktop w/o blowing the budget.

I've been lusting after a Mac Mini but don't care for the obsolete and un-upgradable graphics. I simply refuse to pay any more than $600 for a mac when I can build one myself.

I want something I can install a legit vanilla Leopard onto and install PC EFI so I can do trouble-free software updates. Basically I don't want this maching to consume hours of my time once it is built.

Anyway, here's the list (all newegg stuff):

(1) Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

(1) A-DATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

(1) LIAN LI PC-A59A Silver Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

(1) Intel BOXDG31PR LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

(1) MSI NX7300GS-TD256EH GeForce 7300GS 256MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

(1) Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 Allendale 2.4GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80557E4600 - Retail

I have an existing 430w Thermaltake PSU I'm going to re-use.
