pahncrd
When I started working on my osx86 project, i couldn't find any direct information for this board on the forum, so I thought I would go ahead and share my experiences for the next guy. My rig - MB - Asus P5N-T Deluxe CPU - Intel q6600 Video - PNY 8800 GTX Network card - Some generic Realtek NIC I pulled out of an old Dell case. Distro - Kalyway 10.5.2 I installed using sleep kernel. I ticked the option for Nvidia drivers 768mb (you may need a different option, but use only one). - Alright, the embedded network port will drive you nuts on this board, if you enjoy sanity, do not even attempt to use it unless there have been massive advances in the driver by the time you install. Get a hold of a card that is well supported instead. Like I stated, I found one in an old Dell, and if you look around, you may find one too. - You should start with audio support of sorts, but if you need your microphone, use the AD1988B rev4 Installer located here http://wiki.taruga.net/tiki-index.php. - If you are getting kernel panic whilst working with large files, be sure to set maxmem to 2048. The file should look like it does below. Be sure to repair permissions and all that jazz. <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>maxmem=2048</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> </dict> </plist> - Time Machine did not work at first and I had to replace the IONetworkingFamily binary (not kext, but inside the kext) with this one: http://rapidshare.com/files/68864781/IONet...-_581_.zip.html. It goes in IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/MacOS. That is about it. With a little work I was able to make a 24/7 stable Hackintosh. Hope this helps, and good luck to the next guy.
