I just downloaded and installed Jas 10.5.2 in my laptop. It installed fine and then it rebooted. After the reboot it gives me a welcome screen and i get up to where it asks if i want to transfer files from another mac. I say no and then instead of loading osx it restarts the welcome screen and just keeps going back. I dont understand why. Any help would be apreciated. i cant stand windows anymore

Nevermind i fixed it with a little google searching unfortunatly i still cant get my wlan or audio to work

This is how i fixed the welcome screen. It was really easy i found these instructions searching google.

2a: Reboot and hit "f8" during start up to give you start up options.

2b: Type: $ -s Then hit enter.

2c: You should be at a command line. Type the following, hitting enter after each command.

$ /sbin/fsck -fy

$ /sbin/mount -uw /

$ touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

$ passwd root

$ reboot

Im new to this i tried to install osx once before a long time ago and never got it to work and i really dont know much. I have a compaq presario v5204nr.

Intel Celeron M 1.43 ghz, 1.25 GB Ram

Intel HD Audio, Vender id: 14F1, Device id: 5047

Intel 10/100 Lan, Vender id: 8080, Device id: 1092

Broadcom Wireless Lan, Vender id: 14E4, Device id: 4311

Im pretty sure i could get the audio to work and the wired lan, i did last time i installed osx> it was a struggle but i did manage eventually. If you could help it would be great, save me alot of time. The wireless lan im convinced is impossible. i must have tried 300 different things and i cant figure it out, thats the reason i went back to windows last time.
