jjoe
Hi all, First I want to say that the supports for hardware are pretty good. _ Pentium M 1.5GHz (Banias)......[works] _ Ati Mobility Radeon 9600 64m...[works] (with CI and QE supported!! iDVD works too!!) _ SigmalTel C-Major Audio............[works] _ USB mouse and touchpad.........[works] _ Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet..................... [not work] _ Intel® PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter.[not work] Basically, I am pretty satisfied with these for only standard installation steps. I followed the steps in http://www.profit42.com/guides.php?id=1 for partition, and for dualboot, I used chain0 (if you don't know what it is, search the installation forum). Now I am gonna work on my ethernet and 1280x800 widescreen resolution. I saw in other thread that intel 2100 wireless are NOT supported so far, so I'll just wait for you awesome guys to release a driver. jjoe
Wow, I got my ethernet working now!!! I used a patch file in this thread http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...hl=bcm570&st=60 Although I don't know if my card is Broadcom 57xx (I don't know where to look at it), my card did work !! The only step that doesn't explained very well in that thread is that you have to look up your vendor and device id then add them into info.plist. They aren't explained in the readme. Now I am patient waiting for ATI drivers for my mobility 9600, so that I could change my resolution to 1280x800. I also have Mac OS X 10.4.5 prepatched DVD installed on my laptop, but it does not recgonize my sound card (SigmalTel C-Major Audio). I found yours are working okay. So I'm wonder what's the problem I have. In the systems configuration, it shows no output sound device. Grmpf
I know you posted this in 2006, but it's now 2009, and i'm trying to do the same thing. I'm having problems with all distro's of OSX, and have no idea where to start. Could you let me know what version you are running, how did you go to get it to work? Would bribe'ng you help? Thanks for your help! Hi! Could be moved to Leo part of forum or open a new topic ... Works partly with iPC 10.5.6 final, used the following: Voodoo kernel, AGPArt, Intel ICHx SATA, Legacy Apple/Intel, Apple BCM 5751, Patched USB, ACPI Fix, PS/2 Keyboard, Verbose mode, all the tools. That got my M6700N up and booting, but 1024x768 only, no sound, not network. Main problem seems to be the ATI 9600. Its a start, but I will not have much time to experiment on this the next two weeks, any hints are welcome, I only started just yet and hadn't much time to look around. /Grmpf Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11797-mac-os-x-1045-prepatched-dvd-works-on-asus-m6n/#findComment-1101100 Share on other sites
