i have been haveing the same problem, someone told me it was because of my nForce 560 chipset controler

use cpu-z to find the contorler, its on page 3

If you are running Intel CPU and nForce chipsets MOBO then check out the great threads by Mysticus C*:

they should get you running OS X.....they did so for me..... :yoji:

But, what does I have to do now? The download is complete of the update. But how can I install it. I have the iATKOS v4 CD but how must I install it with iATKOS v4 because now iATKOS shows no hard drives and on my "Bios Setup" there is no option for change SATA to ACHI.

What is the CPU-Z information for your CPU?

What are the BIOS options for SATA and for IDE on your machine?

Here is the information of my CPU:

488ca4aba325e-LALA.jpg

And I dont have options for SATA and for IDE

I have a Fujitsu Siemens AMILO MX438

You need to try install options for SSE2 and Intel chipsets......as your CPU is not SSE3 enabled

Also check to confirm but I think your your graphics card is an nVidia GeForce G0 6800 with 256MB RAM so you need to choose the right driver......suggest you install iATKOS withot choosing any video or audio drivers at first......see my blog entry for iATKOS v2.0i

When you boot from the iATKOS DVD boot with -v and see what error messages appear on the black screen during booting....

I just readed your blog but I dont know anything. And when I boot with -v I dont see any errors only my mouse/keyboard works not and I see no hard drives.

Having checked again, the iATKOS v4i (10.5.4 Leopard) DVD has as minimum requirements:

Intel SSE3 CPU, 512MB RAM, 12GB free on intended OS X partition.

So, you need to find a OS X installer which does not require an Intel SSE3 CPU.....try Kalyway 10.5.2 or iATKOS v1.0i R3.......I believe that iATKOS v2.0i does not support SSE2 but check for yourself on the Internet......

There may also be a general BIOS and OS X problem....see

Also some have reported problems with their SATA chipset:

Did anybody succed to install any osx86 on amilo notebook with sata vt6421 chipset? I tried all possible installations.... even the latest iATKOS and KALYWAY (both leopard), but always same problem... can't see any hdd in disk utility...

If anybody know how to solve this, that would be great...
