whosjk
new osx user here . .. i orginally formatted my osx hard drive in two. my plan was to use one part for the system files/boot and the second for backup/file storage. i have a second hard drive that i use as storage and am not using the second partition i created on my osx system drive. would i be better off deleting the partition and using the extra space for osx to work? is that even possible without reinstalling osx? thnx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117757-partitions/ Share on other sites
Solow
I'm pretty sure if you used the GUID partition scheme instead of MBR you can delete your second partition using disk utility and be able to increase the size of your main partition by dragging the bottom edge down within disk utility. Unless your first partition is 3/4 full you shouldn't have too much problems anyhow.
