lotrfan
Hi everyone, it's been a while but I've decided to get back at it. My friend and I managed to have an extremely easy install of Leopard on his Dell Vostro 1500 laptop and believe it or not, everything worked except for audio after install. The only thing is, there is no Boot Camp Assistant in the Utilities. Is there somewhere where I can download this? Thanks everyone for your help! kitkat54
well, even if it were there, you wouldn't use bootcamp on a hackintosh. Bootcamp emulates BIOS so that Windows can boot, similar to how PC-EFI emulates Apple EFI so that OSX can boot. On a hackintosh, you don't need bootcamp to emulate the BIOS that is already there, and you don't want it since bootcamp needs the Apple EFI to work. If you want to dual boot, you need to follow one of the multi-boot guides, and boot windows normally. -Josh Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117723-iatkos-20i-no-boot-camp-assistant/#findComment-834081 Share on other sites
lotrfan
Oh that's how it works? I read this thing a while ago that said to dual-boot with osx86 Leopard you could just use Bootcamp. Well assuming I had Boot Camp, would that work? Would it be easier to use that or the other multiboot guides? Synaesthesia
No, boot camp won't work. It's only for real Macs. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117723-iatkos-20i-no-boot-camp-assistant/#findComment-834564 Share on other sites
