hello all. i have a problem maybe someone can help me with. im using the same dvd ive used on this same system before (no changes at all in hardware or location). cd has not a smudge on it and was burned at 4x. its the kalyway 10.5.2 dvd

whenever i try to boot, be it in normal, safe, or single user mode i get

Local APIC version not 0x14 as expected

ACPI CA 20051117 [debug level=0 layer =0]

and the system hard locks (even the caps lock light doesnt come on) and i have to manually power it down.

my system specs:

ECS KA3-MVP mobo

athlon 4200+ (SSE 3 works perfectly)

160gb IDE western digital drive

radeon x1900

1GB pny ram DDR2 6400

2gb corsair ram DDR2 6400

microsoft habu mouse

MERC keyboard

I just dont understand why i cant get it to boot anymore. i even burned a new dvd at 4x from the same ISO image that worked.

can anybody give me some input?

alright, i booted it again and got the whole message

npvhash=4095
