Darnei Tiger Posted July 25, 2008 Share Posted July 25, 2008 hello all. i have a problem maybe someone can help me with. im using the same dvd ive used on this same system before (no changes at all in hardware or location). cd has not a smudge on it and was burned at 4x. its the kalyway 10.5.2 dvd whenever i try to boot, be it in normal, safe, or single user mode i get Local APIC version not 0x14 as expected ACPI CA 20051117 [debug level=0 layer =0] and the system hard locks (even the caps lock light doesnt come on) and i have to manually power it down. my system specs: ECS KA3-MVP mobo athlon 4200+ (SSE 3 works perfectly) 160gb IDE western digital drive radeon x1900 1GB pny ram DDR2 6400 2gb corsair ram DDR2 6400 microsoft habu mouse MERC keyboard I just dont understand why i cant get it to boot anymore. i even burned a new dvd at 4x from the same ISO image that worked. can anybody give me some input?
