mitzuoka
Hey everyone. ITs been a while since i've fiddled with puttin a mac on my sony vaio. I installed it again yesterday, using the 10.4.8 JaS DVD. Installlation and everything went fine, i know you need the VGA dongle, etc. to make it start up (get past the blue screen). My question is how do i boot it using Acronis? I installed the bootloader and everything. Prior to installing mac, i checked if Acronis would pop up when i started my laptop, which it did. Now that I installed mac, the screen no longer pops up on startup. I read in some other thread that your partition needs to be primary. I think that may be the problem as I formatted it as a logical partition. SO i guess my question is, how do I get Acronis to recognize the logical partition or, if i cant do that, how do i change logical to primary? I tried using the Acronis Disk Director, but it refuses to do anything with that partition. I cant delete/create/move space or change that partition through Acronis in any way. Its a 10 GB partition which only has 3.7 used up due to installation. Any suggestions on how to get it to boot or make logical --> primary? Thanks in advance everyone. P.S. I didnt think that this was a hardware issue so i didnt bother posting my system, if needed, ill put it down. Thanks again.
