Hi guys, I have done quite a bit of research but can not seem to figure this out, I mean not at all I think I have missed some crucial piece of information, and that is; how do I even know what my card is, or Hardware ID. I installed kalyway 10.5.2 for a friend with a tp-link card inside, unfortunatly the packaging has been discarded long ago, so all I know is that the card is pci and the brand is a tp-link, how do I get it's Hardware ID, system profiler has no mention of the card at all.

After 2 days of trying and reading these forums, I had a brain fart and went to look for a new card to buy, being in a part of this third world country named Africa, this is not as easy as it should be, so I grabbed the only ones I could find, here is a link to it's product page

I installed the card last night and hoped that it would just work but no such luck, it still does not show up in Apple System Profiler, and not in the Network tab of System preferences.

Please could someoe help me as this is driving me up the wall, how, where do I begin, and please try remember you are answering a person who is quite possibly intelectually challenged and cant spell to save his ...

Thanks Guys

The card came with a driver CD, on this CD is there a file in a driver folder that ends with .inf??? this is usually a good place to look to see if it is a compatible card.
