Whytonia
This is what I am trying to do. I am trying to run Leopard on my computer along side of Vista. I read some of the posts on here explaining how to do that, but I really want to make sure that this will work before I attempt in. I have two hard drives. My main one is a 350g SATA which I will keep with my Vista 32bit. And then I have an 80gig hard drive which I would like to format to make it the Leopard version. I have used a Mac before being that I own an old iBook G4. I'm worried about compatibility issues with my computer and whether or not features will work with Mac. My Configuration: Motherboard: Gigabyte Processor: Intel Pentium D 915 Spec: Intel Pentium® D CPU 2.80GHz Instructions: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, EM64T Memory: 4GB DDR2 Video: ATI Radeon X1300 Series Not for sure what else to put here. If I think of anything else I will post it. I just want to make sure that this will work, like I said, before I try it out. Thank you for any help in any direction you guys can post me in. Starting out with Mac I feel kind of like a noob. Thank you! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117300-can-i-do-this/ Share on other sites
RobLaw0304
in short, yeah, it looks like you can. get started with the iatkos release 4.0i. it has the latest drivers to get your radeon working. You shouldn't have much problems, just read some guides Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117300-can-i-do-this/#findComment-830910 Share on other sites
Whytonia
I looked up the iatkos release 4.0i and found it to be very helpful. I do have one question (probably more to follow): When I partition my 80gig hard drive and install Leopard on there, and then restart, will it automatically come up with Leopard, or will I have a DOS come up on loadup asking me which version of an OS I would like to start? EDIT: The iATKOS v4i talks about multibooting and getting vista and Leopard to work. I will need to do this to get vista and leopard to work together?
