I've been having lots of fun with the installation. 10.4.5 (maxxuss) installs without any issues, but then after the reboot, it freezes. It just shows the cursor (not even blinking), and that's it. Host CPU utilization jumps to 50% (hyperthread). It never seems to actually do anything on the VMWare hard drive.

This how the current configuration looks like

Host system runs Windows XP, and the CPU supports SSE2. What should I go check first?

Thanks for the tip, how did you go about doing that? What kinds of tools did you use?

I just installed over osx86 8f1111a using the iso: MacOSX_10.4.4DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso and chose custom installation and unchecked amd enabler, thats all...

You need to find a way of removing amd enabler or re-install making sure its not checked...
