When they're gonna be sued by Apple, Open Tech changing his name for Closed tech.

The only thing I can say is "Let the good time rolls for those cheaters" and after, you will never heard about clone compagnies after ;) .

Seriously.. we just need some more company doing the same thing before apple decide to do something to the OS itself to stop all these... god bless us OSX86ers

Hmm...it's not clear what Apple could do unless they want to get away from the Open Source Darwin idea. Darwin runs on x86 in an open way. The GUI is what we often think of as OSX, but it's running on top of Darwin. You can just use X-Windows with Darwin and run a lot of neat stuff.

The era of really proprietary stuff is over. I suspect both Apple and Microsoft know this. They are both trying to deal with it in their own ways. They are also both fortunate that the Linux world has been so chaotic and had such a confusing approach to installation of software and choice of gui. One of these days there will be a Linux front-end that unifies gnome and kde and then things will get interesting.

I far prefer OSX to either Windows or Linux, but I just see Apple moving towards phones, jukebox music players, etc...and not really coming out with anything new on the hardware/sw front. I think they know the desktop era is going to go open where there is less of a profit. It's kind of like waiting for people to realize they don't have to spend $100/seat to get Office when Open Office is already overkill for most users.
