Halcy0n
I have a quad-core 2.66 GHz Laptop with 4 GB of RAM, 2 Geforece go 8800M graphics cards, and a intel P965 + ICH8R chipset + NVIDIA SLI with 1066 MHz FSB. Simply said, i get past installation part 1, where i am copy the files over, and now when i boot to start part two, after about 40 seconds i get a kernel panic. If i run -v it stops at AppleRTL8169 Ethernet : Ethernet address 00 : 90 : f5 : 66 : 72 : cc I am using the iATKOS v1 installation DVD. I also have the iATKOS v2 installation DVD at hand, but i havent tried it yet..... I got my computer installed with Mac OS X before, last time i simply had to turn of the Stock Kernel, this time it simply doesnt work period. Please Help.... Okay, now i tried iATKOS V2, and i can install mac os x, but i cant boot into, that is unless i use VMWare to boot into using the Bootable DVD. Also, found out i get stuck on the Graphics card drive if i try installing with iATKOS v1. I am still trying to get it to work with iATKOS v1, and in the mean time trying to get my hands on iATKOS v4. Thanks for any help you can offer/have offered. RobLaw0304
well just send your laptop to me and i'll give you my acer 5570z fully working hackintosh k? jokes aside check into some of the nvidia threads and see what the exact settings for your card should be...it's pretty picky with nvidia cards. also, get iatkos v4.0i from the green demons. It has more customizing options Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117103-installing-mac-os-x-onto-a-quad-core-laptop-panic-like-crazy/#findComment-830746 Share on other sites
