pad
Hi all I want to use Tiger for my iPod - but for some reason the Apple Updator won't restore the ipod - apparently a restore error? It's currently a windows based iPod nano and I want to convert it to be mac. Any clues? FrDakota
Hi all I want to use Tiger for my iPod - but for some reason the Apple Updator won't restore the ipod - apparently a restore error? It's currently a windows based iPod nano and I want to convert it to be mac. Any clues? No need to restore (reformat) a Windows formatted iPod. The Mac will use the FAT 32 iPod it as it does for the HFS one. The reverse is not true. A HFS iPod will only be usable on a PC if a tool like Macdrive is used. So as a rule for portability, always prepare the iPod under Windows, unless you want to boot with it on a Mac. ampTK
The OS X iPod Software Updater can't update FAT32 iPods. So next time only download the windows version of the updater.
