Joseph Ferano
I am trully sorry for the noobery that is my new thread, but I would really appreciate some help. I have never seen a driver in my life, let alone coded one, and while I think it would be fun to learn, I am a bit overwhealmed here. I just got my Kalyway up and running and my sound and vid are working fine, which is the most important thing. Here are my specs; C2D E6600 2GB DDR2 800 Some crappy 80GB IDE Maxtor I found laying around I decided to test my Mac installation on BFG 8800 GTX MSI P6N SLI Platinum So there you have it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...bSLI%2bPLATINUM Newegg says my LAN Chipset is Realtek 8211BL. I havent really found a lot of info on this particular chipset. I did find this thread; http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry778904 But I have to be honest with you guys, I have no clue what the guy is talking about or how to go about installing that driver. I am understanding only bits and pieces, the one part where he writes "sudo kextload -v /System/Library/Extensions/forcedeth.kext", I am guessing that goes in the terminal, I think. But I really dont understand how to get to that point. I ask for someone here with experience in this to please help me out and explain to me in noob terms how to install that solution in the thread I linked. If you have any better solution for me, I would appreacite it greatly. Thank you very much for you time and I trully appreciate any help given. Have a good one.
