Thoth1978
I'm running a Toshiba A215-S7422 which has a Realtek 268 HDA sound card. The only things I'm missing are sound, a working graphics card driver (x1200 mobility), and wifi. of these, sound is the most important for now. I've searched online for a few days, and checked every site that I could read or translate. Anyay, I've got the intermittent and crackling sound problem I mentioned in the title. Sound comes out of both the headphones and speakers when I test it, but it seems to cut out pretty fast- maybe once a second or more. I really can't make out more than a tone or two here and there. I've got mic volume at 0, and the problem persists. Is there a fix out there for this issue? Is there something I should do? Edit: I'm using Taruga's ALC268_installer1, as the sound comes through a bit better than with installer2. I can't access anything better because his site's down. YevgenB
I'm not sure if it's related or not but check clock in your PC - if it's "late" than install Chameleon bootloader - on my Dell some timings was reported incorrectly with EFI bootloader. Two things have boon broken - cracked sound and clock. Sounds similar to your issue.
