solidus636
ok.. so i've finally got everything installed and boot records are ALMOST fine... i've run into a major problem though. in order for my leopard install to boot, i need to have AHCI enabled. however, if i enable AHCI, my boot record can't be found for some reason... if i disable AHCI, my boot record is fine and i can choose to boot into Vista or Leopard. both can be selected and both boot with their partitions. however, since my Leopard installed won't work without AHCI, it just gives me the 'still waiting for root device' error. is there any way i can fix my boot record so that it works with AHCI enabled? (btw, yes i know that to use AHCI, i'll need to make a registry tweak in Vista, i'm about to do that now..) i'm going to also try to repair my Vista install with my install disk and see if it helps. any help would be appreciated thanks, and yes..i know it's a lot to read =D Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116732-dual-booting-problems/ Share on other sites
