BenQ S41-V36 Lan (Yukon 88E8055)

Hey guys,

 

I have a Ben S41-V36 laptop that I have recently installed Kalyways 10.5.2 on. Everything that can work, does work except my network port. Now, it's a Yukon 88E8055 which in the wiki under the V36 it says that you need to add the lines to the Info.plist. When I opened this up, it was already there so I simply installed the PCCard.10.5.2.Beta2.pkg because it was proven to have worked for this model.

 

This promptly broke my install and didn't boot up again. Under the wiki for the BenQ R55, it says that it uses the same chip for the LAN, and that he received a working AppleYukon2.kext from someone who had enabled this device, and reparied the permissions:

 

LAN: Yukon 88E8055 works after manually replacing the AppleYukon2.kext inside the IONetworking.kext. Havent tried with the PCCard.10.5.2.Beta2.pkg (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...1036&st=500) A nice guy mailed me a working AppleYukon2.kext and i replaced it only and started DiskUtility-RepairPermissions. So i didnt have to add my LAN hardware id into /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleYukon2.kext/Contents/Info.plist and then install the PCCard pkg! Change this text, if you have experience in it and know it works.

 

All I want to do is get a working install, and then image it for any future failures. Does anyone have this particular kext, and if so, can you please post a copy of it here?

 

Thanks, and if anyone else has simple instructions on how to get this working they'd also be appreciated. Personally, I'd rather the manual way, so that I know which files have been modified and can roll back manually if it's needed, but as I said my main concern right now is to get it to work.

Edit - Also, anyone who has a proven working solution regarding the Realtek ALC262_509 chipset, if you can post it here, or a link to it, would be much appreciated! The stickied thread in this forum has yielded no results for me so far.
