mrjoe Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 ok don't laugh but this is the first computer i'm building from scratch. i'm buying in january, cause that's when the quad cores out in october will get cheaper. I'm already decided on 4gb ram, a decent quad core processor (a socket b one), and a motherboard that corresponds. It has to be fully compatible with OS X. The video card has to be 8800GTS 512MB ish or better. I'd like a GTX200 or a 9-series GPU. The hard drive must be 750GB or higher. It must have dual DVD/RW's, but if I can get a bluray in that's nice too. Budget: $1500.
