appl3s
Alright, so I recently installed the Kalyway 10.5.1 OS X distribution. However, upon rebooting, i received simply "b0 error." I searched the forums and followed the guide on making the partition active (via fdisk) but this didn't fix the problem. What should I do? Thanks! juuni
You should start by listing out your config in details. My guess: an HDD interface problem (you're on ATA probably, SATA makes things much easier). appl3s
I couldn't find any information about my HDD, but I did manage to find specs here: http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/lenovo-thi...7-30567436.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116121-b0-error/#findComment-822100 Share on other sites
ari79s
So you have IDE/ATA Did you format the disk as GUID or MBR partition scheme? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116121-b0-error/#findComment-822119 Share on other sites
appl3s
I used the MBR partition scheme. Should I be using GUID? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116121-b0-error/#findComment-822180 Share on other sites
ari79s
No, MBR should be fine... I don't know what to tell ya. Seems like most people fixed the b0 error by using fdisk or setting the partition active from either a LiveCD or some other common BootCDs floating around. Sorry I can't help, but I'm sure someone will. If you haven't already tried, you can always boot the install DVD, let it time out, and see if it finds and then boots from your hard disk.
