carlosp_uk
Hi there I've just installed OS X for the first time and I'm really impressed. (running on a MSI Wind Clone, so now have a lovely tiny netbook ) The only problem seems to be that some configuration changes don't seem to be 'sticky', they go away randomly after a reboot, then sometimes reappear. For example: - Keyboard map layout. I've copied a layout to ~\Library\Keyboard Layout and successfully selected it in the 'International' preferences pane. However, when I reboot sometimes it appears in the menu at the top of the screen for selection, sometimes not! - PowerSaving Bundle Sometimes when I boot up, the battery icon for a laptop is there, but sometimes it just says 'No batteries found'. I have tried fixing disk permissions for all these, but no joy. Does anybody have a theory they could help me out with on why OS X is being so temperamental? C PS: I am dual-booting with XP.
