rsilves
This is how I updated: 1) Kalyway 10.5.2 to 10.5.3: Used Prasys's method (using Pacifist to update only safe parts, no kernel update). 2) 10.5.3 with kernels: As I read that NVinject drivers had problems, I installed NVKush drivers, although I forgot deleting the NVinject kexts. To make sure everything (including Kernel) was 10.5.3, I used Kalyway's 10.5.3 updater (official update + Kwy's kernel). After update, noticed that audio stopped working (no audio device recognized by the system). 3) 10.5.4: Used Apple's official update. Audio still didn't work. USB, Firewire and other things are OK. I installed ALC882_AppleHDA_v0.4b.mpkg.zip from this post. Audio works now but "Internal Speakers" disappeared. Actually, Line Out doesn't work, and when I choose Line Out the audio goes through the main speaker connector (so Line Out disappeared and "Internal Speakers's" name was changed to Line Out). No prob with headphones, digital out (never tested), line in and mic. Any way to fix this? Do you think my Mac is using the new NVKush drivers or the old NVInject? Before updating, when I put the machine to sleep (only accidentally, because I didn't use the sleep function) it seemed as if I had disconnected the power cable, but a second later I pressed a mouse button and it turned on again with no problems. After updating, I tried putting it to sleep and when I clicked (around 5-10 secs later) it turned on but the screen was black. I wasn't able to restart (knowing the position of the buttons), so I had to reset. Never, when I put it to sleep, it had taken some seconds to go to sleep, which would be normal (so I suppose that the times I put it to sleep accidentally, it turned on again because the memory didn't completely turn off in those 1-2 seconds). So, I want my Line Out back (phisically, because the "line out" option works for main speakers) and I'd like to have Sleep working... What can I do? Thanks to everyone..
