EddieR Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 ok Maxxuss states to place the folder in the root folder before performing the security update in 10.4.5, i'm new to OSX, anyone give me a detailed way of getting thie foder from it's present position on the desktop to the root folder??? Tush Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 In Finder click on your system volume, and that is the root "folder".Where you can find, the Applications, System, Library and User folder.Its very important to place the decrypted folder there. blackentangled Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 lol, on your desktop, click your startup disk (upper right corner or wherever you positioned it) and that's the root. in terminal, open terminal app then type "cd ../.." then enter and you are at the root directory.
