Hi. I had a Kalyway 10.5.1 install with Vanilla and EFI (don't know the version, I suppose it is V8) since January. I updated it (don't remember exactly how, but it was not using the official update) to 10.5.2.

Then updated it to 10.5.3 using Prasys's method (with Pacifist, without updating the kernel).

And now I have the 10.5.2 kernel and 10.5.3 other-files. I read that some users could update from 10.5.1 with the official Combo Updater. Can I do that with the 10.5.4 updater? Or do I need to do something strange to make it all 10.5.4? (and not only the files or the kernel).

Thank you,

Rodrigo

With a bit more of reserch, I decided to use Kalyway's 10.5.3 updater (official update + Kwy's kernel) and then Apple's updater. Worked perfectly but audio wasn't recognized (it was after Kwy's 10.5.3 update). USB and FireWire are OK.

I installed ALC882_AppleHDA_v0.4b.mpkg.zip from this post. Audio works now but "Internal Speakers" disappeared. Actually, Line Out doesn't work, and when I choose Line Out the audio goes through the main speaker connector (so Line Out disappeared and "Internal Speakers's" name was changed to Line Out). No prob with headphones, digital out (never tested), line in and mic.

Before updating to 10.5.4 I installed NVKush driver because I read about a problem with NVidia 7x00s and 8x00s after update. Anyway, I didn't delete the NVInjext kext. Do you think my Mac is using the new or the old one?

Thanks,

Rodrigo
