acadiel
Hi there. I have a P5E-VM DO with a C2D 2.33, 8GB RAM, 8800 GTS (384MB), integrated audio, Broadcom 802.11g PCI card, BlueTooth Dongle (Silicon Cambridge chipset). Why did I do it? Because I thought it would be fun. :-) (I already have two laptops, and three desktop Macs.) I originally installed Kalyway 10.5.2, upgraded with Kalyway's 10.5.3, and then upgraded to 10.5.4 with SU after everyone said there wouldn't be any issues. I don't really have any issues, per se - everything works, but I have a few minor things that I've been struggling with fixing. 1) The AHCI hard drives had an orange color - due to being an unknown controller. I fixed this with some info.plist updates that I found on here. The system knows that these are Intel ICH-9 controllers now and reflects that fact. (Thanks, whomever did these!) 2) There are System Profiler inconsistencies. About this Mac works great and displays great info. The following categories do not show correct info: a) Audio (Built-In): Says No Built in Audio. However, I have sound (ALC883 RealTek) Diagnostics - No information found c) Memory - No information found d) PCI cards - This computer does not appear to have any PCI cards installed. (Is this normal with having a Broadcom PCI 802.11G NIC installed?) e) Hardware Overview - Model name is Mac. Model identifier is motherboard designation, however Bus Speed is 100Mhz. Thanks, everyone! Keep up the great work! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/115437-105-minor-profiler-issues/ Share on other sites
