I've noticed while searching the site for a solution to my problem, that there are alot of ppl with the same (or similar) hinderence, and no reported work-around.

Here is the problem:

I have a laptop (specifically Acer travelmate 2300), and would like to use OSX while travelling around, so can't realy carry external devices with me. With 10.4.5 (Specifically I installed from the Myzar 10.4.4/10.4.5 iso) the integrated touchpad does not work at all. The integrated keyboard works, up until the point where I try to use the touchpad, then it stops responding. I have tried copying the old ApplePS2contoller.kext (working from 10.4.3) over the new one and kextload it, but am faced with the exact same problem. The system does work with usb keyboard & mouse, and if I remove the touchpad kext from the ApplePS2Controller.kext then I can use the keyboard even after I have tried the touchpad (obviously, because the driver isn't there anymore). I don't know if the problem is with the mouse/touchpad driver itself, or if there is something else going on.

Other ppl have reporte the same problem wither with integrated laptop devices and external PS/2 mice/keyboard combinations. If anybody can explain why this is happening, or knows of a solution, or if somebody could point me in the direction of a developers resource, or something so I can really get into this and try to solve the problem for myself, then that would be great.

Cheers
