Ok.

I have an AMD system with an Nvidia 7025 / nForce 630a chipset, 2gb of ram, 1 SATA hd, 1 IDE, 1 SATA DVD drive.

I first downloaded the Leo4Allv3, with Jas' patch for 10.5.3. On booting this, I ran into "Waiting for root device".

After some research, I ended up patching the ISO with the old nForce drivers. Now, when I boot I get a kernel panic about the journal being corrupt.

When I try booting with my IDE hd unplugged (I used that for backup, and I don't want to lose the files on it accidentally) I get the same error. Just out of curiousity, I booted with the IDE hd plugged in and the SATA hd unplugged. Then, I get "Waiting for root device" with both install DVD's.

Should I try switching the order that the DVD drive and the SATA hd are plugged in? Or is there a command that I can pass to the bootloader to ensure it is finding the right hd or partition?

I am just a little confused as to why the bootloader is bothering to try to read my journal..

When I burnt my dvd, I told it to burn at 1x, but I think it burnt at around 4x.

Thanks for the help!

- Derek

UPDATE:B

ooting with "-x", leaves the machine hanging just after "Loading VirtualAudioDriver.kext"

.. Could it be a bad disk?
