c_c
You need to install an appropriate kernel for AMD machines. Search for a kernel version depending on your version of OSX. eg for OSX v10.5.2 use kernel 9.2.0. Use google to get the kernel - or use irc.osx86.hu

katn
thanks a lot. can you tell me how to change a kernel when i can't boot in macosx? must reinstall osx?
mac_cute
If you want to change the kernel but you can not boot from your HDD, boot from your DVD,go to utilities and Open Terminal. The Terminal allows to copy and move files. Also, from one drive to another.Example (I am going to use Leopard as the name of the HDD.If your HDD does not have this name, just change it) cp -Rf /"Path_to_Kernel_On_the_DVD"/mach_kernel /Volumes/"Leopard"/ I am not typing the full path because I do not know where is the kernel on kalyway 10.5.2. If you can download the kernel, place it on the root of a USB stick formatted as FAT32 type this: cp -Rf /Volumes/"USB_Stick_Name"/mach_kernel /Volumes/"Leopard"/ If you have Windows installed, use MacDrive or Transmac and "Drag&Drop" or "Copy&Paste" the kernel into the root of your Leopard HDD... katn
in terminal cp -Rf /Volumes/"my drive usb name"/mach_kernel /Volumes/"my disk name"/ and terminal say nothing... just jump next line
mac_cute
Just in case, you do not need the quotes "".If you put the kernel and system.kext and still reboot continuously that is not the problem (the kernel).I am not not sure if kalyway does run fine on that 690G,but Zephyroth 10.5.2 does it (maybe Leo4All too).Maybe you missed something in the install options...
