bobby_digital
Hello everybody, this is my frist, err, first post. So, i managed to put tiger-x86.img on a hd. A ~6GB hd. Next step, 'dd if=/dev/oldHD of=/dev/newpartition bs=512 skip=63' Next, i setup grub, booted osx extremely excited, patch back to sse3 etc. Then: Installing something, osx tells me 'no space left on device.' Huh? WTF? its a 30GB partition! When i 'get info' off the tiger-x86 hd on my desktop it tells me 6gb capacity, 200 megs free. duh. In diskutil.app it tells me the following: Capacity : 27,9 GB (29.997.563.904 Bytes) Free Space : 149,2 MB (156.434.432 Bytes) Used : 5,9 GB (6.285.443.072 Bytes) WTF??? something's wrong, yea. Okay, so next i 'restore' the newpartition to '3rdpartition'. Okay, i can select the newpart. in darwins bootloader, but thats all useless, because the '3rdpartition' is still only mounted in /Volumes, and newpartition is still root (i.e. full). And, when i try with hd(0,'3rdpartition') [instead of hd(0,'newpart'), which works] in grub i get "error 13: unsuported executable format". Do you know why? Im real desperate now. Im crying for help! help! please! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11491-resizing-partition-deperate-diskutility-crazy/ Share on other sites
domino
May I ask you a question as to why on God's green planet you are still trying to install deadmoo? Are you aware that most of us are now using 10.4.3, 10.4.4, and 10.4.5? I can not offer you any help because it has been 8 months since I configured a system for the deadmooo image. Go grab the converted ISO and download myzar's patch to patch the ISO and install 10.4.4 or 10.4.5. Don't ask where to get those files. Grab one of the P2P apps here. Either Azureus or Transmission, then just look for them at the torrents. piratesbay, demonoid, or brokenstones. PS. any requests to me through PM will be ignored.
