bigpcman
I have been wondering about kernel compatibility in Leopard systems. For instance is it possible to load kernel 9.4 modbin with it's syskext on a 10.5.2 system without any other updates? I would like to do this to test out the new kernel without going through all of the update problems. So far I have not found any viable update scheme for my iAKTOS 2.0i sse2 system. I've been testing the new JaS update iso and it may be the end solution but it's not quite far enough along for my system. bigpcman
Well I tried it and the answer is no it doesn't work. A kernel panic occurs on boot. So no dice with that idea.
