Ok...since last week when I heard about the possibility of building my own hackintosh I have been obsessed. I have done a lot of research and I am reully on the fence. I Have never built a computer, but I believe that with a strict set of instructions I will be able to do it. As long as I do not run into major problems.

So I have seen a few guides out there, particularly the one on lifehacker, which is what I need to be confident to build this thing. But it seems a lil dated, I need a system primarily for running Final Cut Studio, so a system that has an intense enough processor...

What I am getting at is that I need a good guide (well known for being stable), pictures would be a plus, that is good for running FCP.

It is all I need to push me in th direction....once i start I am planning on making a video blog of my build and posting it here...

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Here is a good beginers guide for parts

FYI, never buy a 7200.10 hard drive. Slow, noisy, unreliable. 7200.11's are a way better line or products. :D

Also never buy Nvidia/Via/Sis/AMD based boards (I mean the chipsets ex. Northbridge/southbridge). Stick to intel P35/X38/P45/X48 boards. Recommended brands are Asus, Gigabyte, and DFI. (They may not be the cheapest, but they are reliable and overclockable.

Here is a guide for installation:

Ok so i found the following well known guide: Guide Link

It is good enough guide for me to feel comfortable building this thing finally...

I am a stranger to command line anything, and might find it hard to trouble shoot if i dont knwo exactly what the issue is...

Who suggests that knowing that I should not build this?

I am willing to be patient with updates...so I wont be adventurous or try overclocking or anything..
