jespera Posted March 8, 2006 Share Posted March 8, 2006 first off i have ich4 intel ac97 audio, it is a soundmax ad1981b. and the ven:8086 and dev: 24c5. this is all on a toshiba laptop with an intel 852/855 gm/gme board. i have tried absolutely everything, and nothing will even get os x to even recognize a sound device let alone any sound!! ive tried the ven, dev entry from the wiki audio page, and even deleted those ati files and .kexts. i just tried to modify the appleAD198xcodec.kext and change the ads numbers around (ads72 - ads70, ads75 -ads78) and that didn't work either.
